Outside of Goshen, Danielle loves hiking, camping, and being outdoors with her husband, Nick, and two dogs, Millie and Bootsy.

About Danielle

Danielle has over 6 years of experience as an educator focusing on outdoor and science education. Danielle received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Indiana University in 2017 with a concentration in Math and Science Education, and a Masters in Environmental Science & Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2021. Prior to joining Goshen as a Research Associate, Danielle worked as the Education Coordinator for Edwardsville’s Watershed Nature Center where she developed and implemented NGSS aligned science curriculum and implemented outdoor programs. Following her education, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Indianapolis and a middle school science teacher in Colorado Springs, but is now based in Northwest Indiana.

At Goshen, Danielle applies her experience in both formal and informal STEM education to her position as a Research Associate, allowing her to approach SSTEM projects with necessary context surrounding educational programs. Additionally, Danielle applies the data analysis and data visualization skills gained in her previous careers to her current position by creating clear, effective reports and interactive data dashboards.
